Speed of Technological Innovation – Factually Wrong

Information technology has been progressing very quickly thanks to Moore’s Law. But there is no logical reason that the same speed of innovation will happen in other areas, and indeed it doesn’t. That is why cars still use an internal combustion engine.

As to why we use the same gas engine, it’s not the same. Today’s gas engines aren’t identical to the Model T ones – they are a lot more efficient, produce less pollution, etc. The principle is the same, but that isn’t a conspiracy as much as the fact that it does the job.
