Wholly Misleading Half Truth

There are a few other differences, which the meme neglects to mention.

  1. A prisoner of war is subject to military discipline.
  2. A prisoner of war has to stay confined in a POW camp.
  3. A prisoner of war, unless he is an officer, can be forced to work to cover his living expenses (as long as the work is not related to the war effort).

Being a POW is a lot closer to being in jail than to being homeless. Would homeless people prefer to be in prison? Considering that they can always commit a crime and get jailed for it, I doubt it.
